The non-profit organization POUR UN SOURIRE D’ENFANT (PSE) is taking care of people living on the Phnomh Penh landfill, since 1996


Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) – For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995.

Its mission is to help children suffering acute hardship by reintegrating them into society and leading them to decent, skilled and well remunerated jobs. Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working with full respect of the country, with the Cambodians, and thus supports sustainable development.

PSE is operating six main programs : nutrition, healthcare, protection and accommodation, general education, vocational training and family support.

PSE is taking care of more than 6,000 children and more than 4,000 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program already have successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position.

PSE employs more than 600 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 4 staff at the headquarter in France. 300 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known, on fundraising donations and sponsorships. In 2000, PSE was awarded the French Human Rights Prize by the French Republic.

Poste: Hairdressing Senior Instructor

The hairdressing school is part of the professional trainings managed in PSE Institute (PSEI).

PSEI employs more than 150 staff for a budget of over $1,500,000 and a total of more than 1500 students and delivers diplomas approved by the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.

The hairdressing School trains students in all areas of hairdressing, beauty and spa and provides practical experience and internships, so that students are fully operational at the end of their course.

The position is reporting to the Manager of the School of Beauty and Spa, reporting to the Director of PSEI.


    Develop and ensure hairdressing staff training : training plan, material, class scheduling, internships for real practice through partnerships with professional outlets
    Guaranty the quality of curriculum and practice and ensure teachers have the right level of understanding and mastering
    Teach senior students and support new teachers
    Collaborate with Dean, teachers and PSEI departments concerned to solve problems and issues faced by students.
    Develop and prepare students to their future: soft skills, advices, personalized mentoring.
    Ensure sustainable development and performance of the hairdressing school
    Manage the salon, stock, partners and suppliers in respect of the budget


    Professional degree in hairdressing
     Minimum 5-years of experience in teaching hairdressing
    Good knowledge of MS Office, e-mail and other databases
    Fluent in English in a multicultural environment
    Good interpersonal communication skills
    Committed to PSE’s vision and values
    Gentle, humble, patient, accountable as these qualities are to be developed by students

Type of Contract

Limited duration with a minimum period of one year, 2 to 3 years being preferable.


monthly gross salary of $800 minimum, on a 13 months basis.

Possibility of VSI contract for European Union Nationals providing comprehensive coverage for healthcare, assistance/repatriation insurance, pension contribution, plane ticket one way and return, plus round plane ticket once a year to home country
