Volunteering at Kululeku

Read this if you want to volunteer instead. This is the description for the volunteering opportunity that is different from the Internship option.

Attention: this volunteering opportunity is not for free. With your financial support, however, you will be able to help the local NGO sustaining the daily activities and achieving its objectives.

What is included

✓  Accommodation
✓  Catering
✓  Internet
✓  Transfer to projects (schools, churches, Marine Centre, hospital, orphanage)
✓  Cooking of local dishes
✓  House and security staff

NOT included

– Flights
– Visa
– vaccinations
– Nightlife activities such as bars, restaurants, clubs
– All leisure activities
Unfortunately we cannot offer the project completely for free. The volunteers need to pay for food and accommodation. The point is we finance kululeku through donations and the volunteers, that they at least pay their own food and accommodation.
We work 100% non-profit, but we can´t finance the whole stay of a volunteer by donations because:
  1. this money is urgently needed for the projects at the school etc. and
  2. people who donate would think they finance another people´s "holiday".
