About us

Our mission is to empower marginalized communities with a focus on children and women

We are a not-for profit organization made up of monks, educationalists, social activists, and other professionals within the field of development.

Human welfare committee is officially registered under the society act within the district administration office Kathmandu (registration no. 188669/074/075). We are also affiliated with social welfare society (affiliated No.48732.).

Human welfare committee is founded by monk cousins Tenzing Gurung and Karma Tsondue on april 2017 as daycare centre to help poor-working mothers.

Within this one year we have progressed to primary school and we are currently helping over 40 disadvantage children of which 23 are resident in the school and the rest are day boarder.

To fund this program we conduct various programs.

2. Chinese language
3. Teaching music & dance
4. Art & crafts
5. Sports
6. Charity shop
7. Child care

Volunteering placement

1. Children home
2. Secondary school
3. Primary school
4. Kindergarten
5. Institute

Volunteering duration:

More than 3 months.

4,5 hours per day

Exchange

• Free accommodation with other two volunteers,
• 3 meals per day,
• Wifi included,
• tour assistance.

Less than three months volunteers should pay for food USD $5 per day
