Volunteer as a music therapist in Lesvos/Lesbos, Greece

VOLUNTEER CALL: Music Teachers/ Therapists

Connect by music is a Dutch organization currently offering music lessons (guitar, keyboard, and singing circle) for children and adults in several locations in Lesvos! We are expanding to other camps, including Malakasa camp, and looking for volunteers to come for a minimum of 2 weeks to volunteer with us!

Children in need

Thousands of children remain confined in camps, sometimes even without their parents. Everything they had is gone. The cities they lived in; their houses and schools have been turned into ruins. The future of these children is uncertain, to say the least, and some of them have been stuck waiting in refugee camps for over a year.

The objective

To facilitate and operate small music schools in refugee camps: places that can offer professional music lessons for children and young adults. In order to reach this objective, the foundation unites forces with other organisations that already have a presence and provide services at the various camps.

The Connect Effect

Making music has a therapeutic effect; playing is a joyful activity.
Music connects and unites; music is the only world language.
More attention for all children in refugee camps.
