Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary is a charity based in Cornwall.
We rescue and rehabilitate primates from the UK pet trade. We are in need of volunteers year round to help care for our ever growing number of residents. Some of our placements are funded by the European Commission under the European Solidarity Corps.
This means that your food, travel, and accommodation are paid for.
You will even receive a small amount of pocket money each week. This means you will be volunteering for free!
How long and when
Our placements range from 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 8 weeks, but they do fill up fast, so they are given on a ‘first come first’ serve basis.
Currently July is full, however we have lots of placements in August, September, October, and November.
The work is physically hard so we need committed volunteers with an affinity to animals. This is a real working experience and you will leave with not only a working knowledge of how to care for rescued primates but also on how to live sustainability through the practices we use here.
As it takes a lot of time and money to organize, we only ask volunteers who are serious and committed to apply.
Only volunteers residents in these countries can apply:
Most of the UK, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark Germany, Ireland (only counties Sligo and Leitrim), Spain, France (not including north west regions Tours- Rounen), Croatia, Italy (not including south of Palermo or Bari), Latvia (no further than Riga), Lithuania (no further than Panevezys), Luxembourg, Hungary, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden (no further than Ostersund).
If you apply and you are not from these countries your application will ignored.
