Music, art and Gardening in Ireland: ‘I am looking for a helper!’

looking for a volunteer to assist a musician, music volunteer program, volunteering opportunity with music

Hello, voluntourists!

I am looking for help starting a youtube channel for my music. You can stay here, do some art and gardening too. The idea is that it will be fun to have some good company and it won’t really seem like work as it will be enjoyable.

What type of host are you?

What are you looking for help with?
  • Computer/Web
  • Farming/Gardening
  • Film-Making
  • General Help
  • Marketing
What’s the mission of your community?

I want to create inspiring music and art then share it with the world.

General info

I lack focus and direction when working alone. It is possible I will get more done if I find the right people to work with.

Hopefully, any visitors here will feel free to create their own music and art while also helping me to get things done.

How many volunteers could you host?

When would you need volunteers?

When I am here and not traveling. Send me an e-mail to check my availability (see contact details section).

How many hours of help per day?

How many days of help per week?

Work expectations

No unreasonable expectations or pressure.

I hope my guests feel relaxed and happy during their stay here and the help feels like cooperation and not a kind of exploitation.

Seem I need to catch up with the modern world and engage creatively with modern tech, get some music online and find an audience. Or maybe just hang out doing music and art enjoying every moment.

Free accommodation and food

Yes, food and accommodation are free/included

What type of accommodation can you provide

Dormitory/shared rooms

Flexitarian, can provide what you like to eat though I hardly ever eat meat myself, prefer a vegan diet.ย But I am not that dedicated to it.

No, I cannot help with Visa but I might be able to offer assistance

Volunteers Benefits

Great time for all I hope! Other possibilities:

  • Surfing beaches around here,
  • great hiking and
  • cycling.

The town is full of pubs thought we can light bonfires in the yard here and invite people round for a jam.

Mountains rolling down to the sea; it is a westerly peninsula so gets a bit of rain, lovely day today though, just heading off for a surf.

How to get to your site

I am near Dingle, west Kerry Ireland nearest airports are Kerry or Cork, nearest train station Tralee, bus to Dingle is a bit pricy and hitchhiking works well around here, can be a fun way to travel too.

Is there internet access?

  1. Hello! I’m new to the Voluntouring format, but I was hoping to plan a trip to Ireland sometime early-ish next year for both my husband and myself. We both have ancestors from the Green Isle that I’d like to try to track down. I’m musical myself, but currently not a performer. Cancer has robbed me of a lot, but I can appreciate the artistic spirit.

On the other hand, I love gardening! With a name like “ivy”? lol how not? And cooking with fresh herbs and veg… yum!

Hubby is handy with any set of tools, probably will fix stuff because that is what he does. He usually does the hard work for me with gardening, hauling weeds and things.

I learned a bit with the computer stuff, and can usually work my way around almost any Windows program for video editing. Kinda rusty on some other platforms, but hey, I could give it a shot!

We are pretty simple people, don’t go out much at all. In our 50’s, there’s just not a lot of party scene we are interested in really. Seeing a working garden in Eire and helping someone to boot? Yah, that would be great!

    1. Dear Ivy, the host might not read the messages in the comments section. Feel free to get in touch with the host by using the contact details they provided (see contact details section). All the best
