Who are we?

NGO VitaTiim is a non-formal learning centre founded in 2008. Our mission is to create an inspiring international environment for Ida-Virumaa people in order to promote participation in lifelong learning and effective implementation of competences on the way of personal development in the global world. Our most important task is to make young and grown-up people believe in their own capabilities.

Examples of typical tasks and activities for the volunteers:
  • Language Cafรฉ

A Language Cafe is a sociable and friendly way to practice languages without attending formal classes. An EVS volunteer runs weekly English and his/her mother tongue Language Cafรฉs at VitaTiim. It includes the following tasks: to promote Language Cafรฉ and provide visibility of it, to be in contact with the participants of Language Cafรฉ and involve them into participation on the highest possible level, to prepare topics and methods for Language Cafรฉ and to run and lead Language Cafรฉ.

  • Visits to schools

visiting secondary and vocational schools in Narva and running lessons for students (mainly 14-19 year old) in order to introduce to them volunteerโ€™s culture and country, European Voluntary Service and Erasmus+: Youth in Action programme possibilities in general. Volunteer will be encouraged to make these lessons with the principles of non-formal education, taking into consideration different learning styles and putting into practice varied working methods. Support from VitaTiimโ€™s staff will be provided.

  • ย Work with local volunteers

the volunteer will assist VitaTiim NGO staff to develop voluntary work on a local level

  • Developing and implementing own initiative
  • Working in VitaTiim NGO’s partner organizations.

We would like to plan it in order to provide organizations with experience of cooperation with the volunteer from abroad and to encourage them to apply for EVS accreditation later on.

To do that we will provide partner organizations with training about EVS and its principles.

Benefits & expectation

Volunteers will learn by doing, observing, and following. We expect the following impact: increased awareness of different cultures and ability to interact and collaborate with their representatives efficiently; better creativity, performing skills, entrepreneurship, planning and time-management; team working skills.
