If you are a hands-on individual who likes to work outside, if you donโ€™t have a problem with medium-heavy lifting, if coming to Kos for a short break to experience island life in our mild weather doesn’t sound too bad then this might be your dream job!

We are looking for a housekeeper for our glamping campsite in Marmari Kos. Greece. Some experience in housekeeping/cleaning is recommended, however, training will be given to the chosen applicant. The Housekeeping job ( 8.30 to 4.00 pm) entails daily servicing of our luxury furnished tents and bathrooms. Cleaning, changing linen/towels and maintaining a spotless space for our guests. This is a reasonable physical job, working in the summer sun and requires a certain level of fitness.

The position is for 6 days a week with one day off. Friendly working environment.

EU or UK applicants only, please.

Benefits

We provide a good salary, 1100 EU net, tented shared accommodation, meals and work insurance. We are reaching out to volunteering sites because there is a shortage of staff on the islands and we have been successful with volunteers also wanting to earn extra money. References can be provided. Updated June 2022 –ย Sails on Kos Glamping site is looking for a full-time short order cook immediately.

Housekeepers and kitchen cleaners. Greece.

We are looking for 2 housekeepers as well as a kitchen cleaner/dishwasher for our glamping campsite in Marmari Kos, Greece. Some experience in housekeeping/cleaning is recommended, however, training will be given to the chosen applicants. The Housekeeping job ( 8.30 to 3.30 pm) entails daily servicing of our luxury furnished tents and bathrooms. Cleaning, changing linen/towels and maintaining a spotless space for our guests. This is a reasonable physical job, working in the summer sun and requires a certain level of fitness. The kitchen cleaner’s position is split shift. 12.30 to 3.30 and 6.30 pm to 11.00. Dishwashing and keeping the kitchen clean after closing at 10.30 pm.

Both positions are 6 days a week with one day off. Friendly working environment, one can still have free time to mix with our volunteers and socialize/enjoy the island

We provide a good salary, ( 800 EU net for kitchen cleaner and 950 EU for housekeepers neg.) accommodation and meals.

We reached out to volunteering sites because there is a shortage of staff on the islands and we have been successful with volunteers also wanting to earn extra money.

The job includes:

  • a monthly salary of 1500 euro.

A very open kitchen with room to make the menu your own, but if not, the menu is straightforward. Job includes full training. We are looking for someone who wants to expand their skills in the kitchen and have a unique summer experience.

You will be living on-site with a group of young and lively employees with a fun community vibe.


Previous announcement: We offer a part-time volunteer and part-time pay package!

The volunteer part includes 24 hours a week of your labour contribution, for this, we provide you with accommodation and meals.
The part-time pay package is for an additional 24 hours of work a week (6 days x 8 hours in total) at a local rate of approx. 4eu an hour. This will result in a salary of 400 euros for the month of November

We are looking for volunteers to help us with general handy work, gardening now and when we open in May with customer service/hospitality. We provide accommodation and meals, close to the beach, bicycles and even yoga. Offer your Help and expertise in exchange for accommodation, meals and cultural experience at our glamping project. We are working on a tented resort and will begin operations in May 2021. This new glamping camp is a family operated by Alexi, his partner Madeleine and father George. Located close to Marmari beach on Kos.

We have a large property, aside from setting up the glamping tents, we are landscaping, planting trees, grow organic vegetables are near the beach and have a pool. Now we are looking for an experienced handyperson to help us with carpentry and or building, and or landscaping/gardening for the next few months until we open in May.

We are also interested in volunteer help with hospitality once we open to help us with our guests.

Work/hospitality exchange

The work/hospitality exchange offer is for, 27 hours of work a week. (5 or a 6 day week) . The remaining time the applicant will be free to explore the island and enjoy the sea nearby
We are able to provide shared accommodation, meals and possibly a basic salary. Volunteering in Greece is not clearly defined in work cover law. If required we will pay the minimum work cover insurance based on Greek legislation.

We are surrounded by organic farmers are next to horse stables, and sea sports school.

You will have the opportunity to work with a family business, that is on the ground working to create their dream.

We are open to sharing anything that we have, we have a myriad of interests and skills and besides working on the project, or on the beach, we have a large garden to escape to, bicycles to use, occasional hikes, archery, and occasional soap making. And exploring a beautiful Greek island.
