Tired of the drab of normal everyday life and feel like taking a break from the smog of the cities?
Join a community of volunteers โ As of March 2019, we are opening “La village” an alternative, non-commercial, self-sustaining, organic farm in Dorzano, in sunny northern Italy.
We offer board, lodging and an alternative kibbutz-style, self-sufficient life with an organic focus in exchange of 25 hours of help per week (+-5 hours a day for 5 days). assistance needed in planting, weeding, wood harvesting(cutting and stacking), maintenance, building, painting, etc. basically any chores that are needed on a small farm.
There are a couple of bicycles that volunteers are welcome to use. For the artistic ones, there is plenty of floor and wall space in need of murals.
Interest in custom-growing your own veggie/fruit/flower patch? Plenty of space here.
Description
If you are interested in a new experience, an off-grid lifestyle.
Fresh veggies from the orchard chickens and eggs, from the yard.
No chemicals or fertilizers are used, only fully organic compost which is made by the resident chickens.
We use well water and our own harvested wood for water and ambient heating. For 9 months of the year, we also use a wood-burning “potage'” for cooking.
During summer, helpers that wish to detoxify, are welcomed to partake in the juicing diet, using our organically grown veggies.
…and if you are serious, you can have your own patch of land, grow your own produce and be creative.
There are a couple of bicycles that the volunteers are welcome to use.
Bus stop to Biella and other areas is a ten minutes walk.
An hourly train to Torino or Milan leaves from salussola station, a thirty minutes walk.

Hello Samrat. Hosts in Voluntouring can usually cover for food and accommodation. However, they don’t cover VISA and travel costs. Volunteering can’t and will never enable you to travel or move to other countries for free, organizations don’t have resources to do it for you. For more details write the hosts or the organizations using the contact details session (not this session as it is the comment section).
