If you don’t have a working visa we would still love to have you outside of the winter season months. Or if you have graduated from University and have more than 3 years of work experience visa sponsorship – this process takes a long time however and a lot of work both for the voluntourist and host.
Until December 1st we accept everyone who would like to come, we will find something for you to do and love lots of different skills.
If you have a lot of experience in one of the following we urge you to apply:
- House renovations
- Fixing things

- Snow clearing
- Design (Illustrator, Photoshop or WordPress)

- cooking and house cooking.
Depending on your timing we can take Helpers at any time of the year except May and June, winter ski mountains are open until May 6th and there is still a lot of snow.
We are located only 100m from the main ski lifts.
Depending on the policies set by the ski resort committee, we may have some shared ski passes that you can use for free.
They may not be available every day.
If you would like to use lifts first thing in the morning every day of the season then we recommend that you get your own season pass.
Come to the best place in Japan because no matter what season, nature, sports, onsens and food are the best here!!
Helpers who can speak both Japanese and English will be especially welcomed.

I am very interested in volunteering/working at your hostel in Hokkaido this winter season. I’m 21 years old and living in California. Would I need a working holiday visa in order to enter Japan? What are the current covid protocols for Americans entering Japan?
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
