Note about the volunteer work and other expectations ๐Ÿ“

Volunteers offer their contribution unwaged but will truly benefit in other ways in return for their contribution. Volunteers will be part of the Departamento de Idiomas of Preparatoria Federal por Cooperaciรณn “Melchor Ocampo” team. They will share their countryโ€™s culture in English with high school students Monday through.
Volunteers will be guided and supported by local staff in order to assist in Foreign Culture Class (your countryโ€™s culture) two-three sessions a week (50 minutes each) repeated throughout the week in 7-9 different classrooms.

You are expected to cover fourteen to twenty 50-minute Foreign Culture Class sessions a week, plus 10-16 hours of office work where you will prepare your classes, mark homework, create examinations, and grade students. That will make 30 fifty-minute sessions a week.

Class topics may be about, but not limited to Your own countryโ€™s traditions, culture, society, education, tourism, music, history, sports, literature, food, art, science, etc. guided by Departamento de Idiomas at our school, but volunteers will be free to enrich or even change class sessions with their own ideas.

All of this is in a friendly, respectful, and tolerant environment.

Enjoy Mexican food. Three meals a day: Two meals at the school restaurant. Monday through Friday.

One meal at home with your host family. Monday through Friday.

Weekends: Pocket money should be enough for weekend meals at restaurants, either by yourself or with your host family.

Fees transparency ๐Ÿ†“๐Ÿ”

Absolutely no fees to participate or join our program. We provide everything, except for flight expenses.

VISA – could you provide Visa support/info/invitation letters? ๐Ÿ›‚

Maybe. We can help with an invitation letter if the candidate has good qualifications. ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ

Geography ๐ŸŒณ

Nearby mountains, lakes and forests. The nearest beach is 4 hours away, 1920 above sea level. Never too cold never too hot.

How to get to your site โœˆ ๐Ÿ—บ

You would be in charge of your own flights, arriving in Mexico City.
We provide airport pickup and everything else from day one to the very last day of our program. (You would have to make wise use of pocket money for that purpose)
