Casa da Horta, Associaรงรฃo Cultural, a non-hierarchical and non-party organization based in Porto, Portugal, is offering an internship opportunity for individuals interested in promoting environmental awareness, healthy vegan diet, human and animal rights, and organizing cultural events.

The trainee will join the team in organizing projects and activities at the association’s space in the historical centre of Porto, as well as at the local social centre. They will also be given the opportunity to develop a personal project of their choice. Part of the trainee’s responsibilities will also be related to the association’s vegan canteen. The minimum duration of the internship is three months.

The application can be sent only to as the association does not have the capacity to regularly answer messages in other channels. Unfortunately, the association is not able to provide funding for the internship but can help with the procedures for students who are eligible to apply for the Erasmus+ internship or any other funding program.

Casa da Horta is a non-profit cultural and environmental association located in Porto’s old town. The association aims to create alternative cultural programs and lifestyles in Porto, contributing to the development of critical thinking and promoting alternatives to unethical consumerism. Their work is based on a non-hierarchical, horizontal structure and focuses on four main areas:

  • ecology/sustainability,
  • community work/solidarity,
  • action/critical thinking,
  • and culture/art.

The internship with Casa da Horta would involve working on projects and activities related to these areas and would include organizing events, environmental education, supporting local and international artists, promoting cultural exchange and raising awareness on human and animal rights, environmental and social issues.
