About Ciwy

CIWY is a place of hope for wild animals victimized by the illegal wildlife trade or affected by environmental catastrophes like fires and road traffic accidents. The organization’s mission is to provide a healing haven and, when possible, reintroduce animals back into their natural jungle habitat. For those who can’t be released, CIWY offers a permanent home in spacious enclosures designed to mimic the wild.

The sanctuary is a refuge for a variety of species, including majestic felines such as jaguars, pumas, ocelots, margays, and Geoffroy’s cats. It’s also a sanctuary for coatis, a spectrum of parrot species including macaws and Amazon parrots, howler monkeys, night monkeys, crab-eating foxes, rheas, tortoises, armadillos, sloths, and many more.
