Some of these opportunities are free (you receive free food and accommodation in exchange for voluntary work). Others require a daily/monthly contribution fee for the food and the accommodation. Remember that many areas in the world are still developing and volunteering can’t always be a ‘free’ thing.

If you want to have an “impact” but you only have a few weeks to do volunteering abroad, then we recommend you to choose the non-free opportunities: you will contribute not only with your skills but also with your money; this is usually better than paying for a “hotel” or a touristic village owned by foreign agencies.

Our website, Voluntouring, is not a touristic agency and is not taking any agency intermediation fees from the organizations listed below. For this reason, all of your money will go directly to support the NGOs. This is also why you will find that the fees for the volunteering experiences, when requested, are generally much lower than the usual.
