Volunteer in Glamping– This section features volunteer opportunities in “Glamping” accommodations around the world.
What is Glamping?
It’s a new trend that revisits the old way to do camping: always in contact with nature but in a more “luxurious” way while respecting the environment. This english term comes from the fusion of the words glamorous and camping to indicate luxury campsites equipped with every comfort but without forgetting care and respect for the environment. In short: it’s camping in style but also eco-friendly.
More information about Glamping
“Glamping” originated in “hot” areas of the world such as Africa and Australia, but has since spread to Europe, in beautiful and natural places. It is a new tendency for nature lovers to seek more comfort while camping. This new trend has, fortunately, also a green, ecological side: the glamping hosts often avoid the use of plastic, they practice recycling and tend to use biodegradable materials.
In glamping, while being in close contact with nature, you can also benefit from extra comforts. Though is considered a “luxurious” way of camping, it is usually much cheaper than staying at a hotel. There is an increasing number of websites where you can search for, and book, glamping accommodation. The most relevant are Airbnb and Booking.com
Click on the announcements that interest you the most. Check the date of the publication (some opportunities might be already expired). If the announcement is still valid, look for the ‘contact details’ section. It is usually at the end of the project description. In that section, you can find free ways to get in touch with the hosting organization (website, e-mail, phone numbers, application form). Send the host a message and wait for a reply.
You may not always receive an answer from the hosts, for several reasons. Sometimes hosts live in very remote areas with a scarce internet connection or wifi. Sometimes volunteers messages are too many, so the hosts won’t always be able to reply to all of the emails. For more information, please read our FAQ.
