Volunteering in Africa

I travelled to Ghana and stayed with Mrs. Theresah and her volunteer program last summer and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
I got to do malaria outreach where we went to a school and did malaria tests for the girls there. Although most were usually negative we always ended up with some positive ones and were then able to provide treatment for those girls.
I always felt taken care of, and like I was just part of the family which was wonderful especially being so far away from home. We always had great food to eat, and if we didnโ€™t like something that was on our menu we would just tell Mrs Theresah and she would change it the following week. Also, if we ever needed to have lunch or dinner later in the day she was very accommodating and could do that for us no problem. Mrs Theresah was the best host mother and was always there to talk to if I, or any of my fellow volunteers needed anything. I would one hundred per cent recommend this program, it was the best decision of my life to decide to go to Ghana!
Sincerely,
Josephine Nett

Gofund me: help support thisย Teaching program in Ghana.
It was an awesome opportunity to do a teaching program in a village in Ghana. This was hands down the best experience of my life. and it’s crazy how much I already miss these girls and this country.
The school I was teaching at, like many schools in rural Ghana, is drastically underfunded. The girls have to learn without fans (in the hot season it can be over 100 degrees), in a building with an unsound roof. There is also a lack of basic supplies such as pencils, pens, and books. My friendย Catherineย and I have set up this go fund me to try and raise money for the school.
Especially in Ghana, a little goes a long way, so anything you can give will be so appreciated have a real impact. These girls are so smart, have a passion for learning, and deserve every educational opportunity possible.
Thank you in advance!
