Learn about natural horsemanship in a ranch in Spain

ATTENTION: THIS PROJECT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TILL FURTHER NOTICE

My name is Grazina I arrived on Jose Luise farm while walking 800 km through Spain with my horse. I am planning on staying here, as I like it here a lot! Beautiful and simple people and nature, horses running around and a lot to learn from Jose.

Ecupasil, centro ecuestre

Jose has 24 hectares of land where all his horses are running around free. Now there are around 25 horses, the farm is surrounded by mountains to hike up and lakes to swim in.

What type of host are you?

Ranch/Organization/NGO

What are you looking for help with?
First projects are:
  • building a shower, a toilet, an outside kitchen
  • fix/clean up some beautiful old stone houses so volunteers can use them

Of course, in your free time you will be welcome to join us for some rides and learn about horses!

What do we need volunteers for?

First of all, we need volunteers to help to fix and build accommodation for volunteers so they can live in it! As now I have been sleeping on hay in a saddle room, I have to say I do like it! But it’s nice to fix the houses too… as there is no kitchen shower or toilet… in the saddle room hehe.

For showering you could go to Jose house or just take a swim in a lake, hehe, till we fix the first house… and you could live with me in a saddle room (it’s a big space) or in a tent… or there is already one house that is good to live in just need to clean a bit…

As you probs understood by now you have to LOVE the countryside, be able to live in wild conditions and love horses to come here!

It would be great if you have knowledge of building… fix some stone walls roof and if you know how to do electricity or water even better. And it’s important that you could work independently maybe with other volunteers.

In exchange, you will get to learn a lot about horses and do beautiful rides maybe even swimming with a horse if you like… And if you don’t like horses it’s still a nice place and people to be around ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, we want to build an organic garden!
