A free volunteer opportunity in Australia
An amazing volunteer opportunity in Australia – All Hands and Hearts (AHAHs) harnesses unskilled volunteer labour and expertise to help rebuild communities in disaster-struck communities around the world. We organise and facilitate unskilled workers with skilled tradespeople to ensure quality work to correct standards. If volunteer numbers and resources are sufficient, we have a number of community initiatives with a sustainability/resilience-building focus as well.

What to do in the free time
The program is 20 minutes from beautiful beaches and national parks, farmers’ markets, and opportunities to integrate with local people, great cafes and the Heritage Village of Tilba Tilba. You can even visit a Buddhist Monastery.
Our program is centred on the village of Cobargo in the Bega Valley. It is on the major bus or coach routes between Sydney and Melbourne and is about 6-8 hours drive from each. We are 2.5 hours from Canberra. The region is traditionally a dairy area of undulating green hills, spectacular beaches and small unspoilt villages and towns. Cobargo is cold in winter, so you’ll need to come prepared with warm clothes and sleeping gear. We are still finalising our base camp location and tents and camping are a real possibility.
