Panthera Africa is an educational centre and a sanctuary for big cats, where no breeding or trading is taking place. It is located in Stanford, in the heart of the Cape Whale and White Shark Coast about 140km from Cape Town.

Our volunteer coordinator position has become available, and we are excited to welcome our new staff member!
We are looking for someone who is passionate, kind, enthusiastic and responsible and enjoys getting their hands dirty. It is important that you are proactive and creative and of course, have a love for people and animals.
This is a job that is filled with great purpose, hard work, fun and commitment and is suited for those wanting to make a difference.

Duties and responsibilities:
Managing and working closely with volunteers:
- Planning and organising volunteersโ daily tasks
- Welcoming of new volunteers and inductions
- Excursions and Social evenings
- Food shopping and making lunches
- Presenting educational visits to the public, including school groups
Animal-related tasks:
- Assisting with the preparation of food and feeding
- Assisting with the cleaning of the enclosures
- Enrichment โ creating and implementing
- Cleaning feeding camps and water bowls
Social media and help anywhere where help is needed ๐
Skills and Experiences required:
- High social skills and loves working with people
- Responsible, trustworthy and accountable
- Kind, compassionate and patient
- Capable and willing to work as part of a team and independently
- Physically, emotionally and mentally fit and healthy
- Organised, detail oriented and good planning skills
- Professional, flexible and adaptable
- Time management and problem solver
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Valid Driver’s license
