What to do in your free time ๐ด๐ฃ๐ฆ
In your free time, you can go for hikes in the stunning valleys of Cappadocia; if you are an early bird you can watch the sunrise from the infamous viewpoint of Gรถreme which is situated just behind our farm… For animal lovers, we have donkeys, horses, sheep, dogs, cats, pigeons, chickens, and geese living on our land.
On your day off you can visit the villages nearby, visit the pottery-making workshops in Avanos, or spend time in town, which is a 10-minute walk from our farm.
Smoking is only allowed outside and far away from kids. Alcohol and drugs are completely forbidden in the academy. No parties are allowed from the people outside. We can do birthday, farewell, or welcome parties for the volunteers.
Geography ๐ณ
Our academy is situated in the stunning Gรถrkรผndere Valley in Cappadocia/Turkey. In the winter time, Cappadocia is very cold, and fewer work compared to the summer season. Thus, in the summertime, more work is needed for farm and animal care.ย The lunar landscape and fairy chimney rock formations provide plenty of inspiration. Our workshops are situated in several natural cave rooms on top of which is our organic garden. If you think that you are good at gardening, it would be a pleasure to teach us and the kids about gardening.
