We are ‘A Joy Group’, a community-based organization whose mission is focused on aiding less privileged and disadvantaged children with access to education. We strive to end child labour and aim to make education accessible to every child. We run a charity school known as ‘A Joy Kindergarten School’.
When volunteering with our project, volunteers have the opportunity to interact with locals in our community. We provide basic language lessons, teaching some Swahili vocabulary, such as greetings and vernacular phrases, to facilitate easier interaction with the locals. Volunteers also get to visit nearby villages and sites, like the tea plantation, and local markets.
