An urgent call from Lanta Animal Welfare

Animal rescue charity in Thailand needs URGENT help: Coronavirus has really affected Lanta Animal Welfare. We desperately need more VOLUNTEERS!

Based on the beautiful Ko Lanta in South-west Thailand, we rely on the generosity and compassion of volunteers to help run the centre. With over 100 animals in need of care, we now have almost NO volunteers meaning we are struggling to continue and animals may suffer.

We are appealing to those who may be in Thailand now that can help them. If you are travelling to Thailand and have time and love to spare, please let us know your availability. If you can also share this post among the travelling community that is much appreciated!

Helping an animal recover from severe trauma, neglect or disease is the reason we love what we do. You can transform the lives of rescues on a paradise island! Whether you can give one day, a week, or a month, the animals really need your help! If you have any questions or would like to help us and our animals, please email: volunteer@lantaanimalwelfare.com

โ—๏ธ Important Notice – Volunteers โ—๏ธ As lockdown measures begin to relax here on Koh Lanta, we are relieved and happy to announce that we should be able to start receiving 'outside' help from those willing to offer support on site from next week. That being said, we of course need to take extra measures and precautions when screening for volunteers. Our guide is below: โœ… You have been living on the island for over 8 weeks โœ… You can commit to specific days and times โœ… You have experience with cats and dogs โœ… You LOVE animals as much as we do If you fit the above criteria, please email us on volunteer@lantaanimalwelfare.com. This is the only way to apply so we can co-ordinate applications. The process following your email will be to come along to the centre initially for a look around and see what volunteering involves. Should you decide to help, we can book you in for your committed hours. The centre will remain closed to visitors until further notice.
