Nestled in the tropical beauty of Bohol/Panglao, Philippines, Nautilus Hostel & Hammocks offers a serene and peaceful environment that radiates a zen-like ambience. The property, relatively new to the area, includes 17 double rooms and a dormitory equipped with comfortable hammocks, all within a pleasant 650-meter walk to the breathtaking Alona Beach.
Join for the upcoming season November 2023-April 2024
For the upcoming season between November 2023 and April 2024, the hostel is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who are drawn to social interactions and take pleasure in meeting new individuals every day. Positive vibes are a prerequisite for the role and if one possesses yoga instructing skills, it is considered a considerable advantage.
Fluency in English is also another key requirement for this role.
What to expect
A volunteer at Nautilus Hostel & Hammocks can expect to commit between 20-25 hours a week, working 4-5 hours daily. The responsibilities range from acting as a kitchen assistant, preparing and serving breakfast, to reception duties like managing check-ins and check-outs, and assisting guests. Occasionally, volunteers may also be needed to help with housekeeping tasks, such as changing bed linens.
Volunteers with a flair for event organization are highly valued.
Creating engaging activities like movie nights with the help of a projector and a big screen available on-site is a crucial part of the role. Yoga enthusiasts would also get an opportunity to organize and lead yoga sessions, further enhancing the zen-like atmosphere of the hostel.
Commitment
Volunteers are expected to commit for a minimum of two weeks, with the possibility to extend up to eight weeks.
