Teach English in Hanoi – We are a group of young people who have built a network of immersive English education programs across Hanoi city to help students learn, practice and enhance their English skills. We welcome people from all over the world and of all different ages. We are looking for English teachers or people with fluent English levels who can volunteer in my organization to help teach mainly Vietnamese students. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for the students to learn directly from English speakers and at the same time learn about different cultures from foreigners from different parts of the world.

We have some conversational English classes for university students and adults with the main aim being to exchange language, and culture. Most of them come from other towns around the North of Vietnam, so their English is still very limited, compared to students in the big cities. They are very curious about the world outside and want to learn from you not only about English to improve themselves for a better future but also about your home country, how different, how developed your home country is. Besides, they a great pride in our culture, our own country’s beauty and people that they want to share with you guys. If you want to have a long-life friendship and get to know more about Vietnamese culture, this class is for you. The class size is approximately 10-15 students.

Note about the volunteer work and other expectations 📝

We don’t expect you to be professional teachers, but enthusiasm and clear pronunciation are helpful for us. You may teach from 2-3 hours a day, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday)
There is no work pressure. It’s just like a visit to a friend and coming for fun with some classes, and you take the rest of your time to discover the capital of Vietnam. We are cheerful hosts and we enjoy talking, laughing and being your companion during your staying here!

• Volunteers have 3 meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Breakfast is a light meal with tea, coffee, milk, fruit or bread.
• Lunch and dinner are home-cooked meals with meat, fish, vegetables, and soup. We also provide vegetarian food for vegetarians.

Volunteers’ benefits 🏆🏅

You will have a cultural immersion and learn about Vietnamese traditions.

We can teach you how to make delicious and healthy Vietnamese foods; teach you the Vietnamese language and take care of your health when you get sick. We will show you how beautiful Vietnam is by travelling and introducing the culture. You will learn more about culture and education. For sure, you can learn from us to run your own project in your country. After volunteering, you will also receive a certificate from our organization.

What to do in your free time 🚴🚣🦒

In your free time, you can take a ride around the city to learn about the place and try local foods. You can also hire a motorbike or take the bus. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the bus station to get to Old Town and around Hanoi. At weekends, we usually organize outdoor activities or picnics and you can join us. You will also have time to explore many beautiful scenes in Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay, Da Nang beach, Hoi An ancient town, Ninh Binh, Ha Giang loop,…
