Are you ready for the hardest but most rewarding challenge of possibly your whole life?

We are trying to create and sustain significant change towards the health and treatment of animals in Morocco and are looking for volunteers who wholeheartedly believe and support the change.
To do this we need to rely on the kindness of our donors and volunteers. Without amazing people coming from all over the world to support us we wouldn’t be able to exist.
We need dedicated, enthusiastic, hardworking people to come and join our team. A minimum of 2 weeks is best as there is so much to learn, but you are welcome to stay as long as you like. Basic food and the use of the staff house is included.

Daily duties include:

• cleaning (oh my is there a lot of cleaning!) 💩
• feeding
• walking the dogs
• animal training
• administering medical treatment

and obviously giving an enormous amount of cuddles to our animals! 🥰

Help at Morocco Animal Aid – – Hi everyone, we’re an animal rescue based in the Agadir area of Morocco and we’d love new volunteers to join our team. Short term, long term, we love you all!

We’re mostly looking for people to work at the shelter but we’re also looking for a Site Manager, Admin support, Content Creator and a Host. They’re all volunteer positions apart from the Site Manager’s one.

Our shelter and our animals rely on the amazing support of our volunteers and we couldn’t be happier you are considering this experience.

The minimum time investment is 2 weeks but you are more than welcome to stay longer. In exchange for 5 hours of work per day, 6 days per week we provide you with accommodation at our staff house (shared rooms), basic food and an experience of a lifetime. 🙂

About MAA

Morocco Animal Aid, is a community project, that supports local animal welfare charities, associations and care providers to raise awareness, reduce and relieve suffering and provide immediate and long-term aid to animals in need.

MAA is based in the Tamraght/Taghazout area of South-West Morocco, working directly with street animals, members of the local communities and local organisations to provide aid to sick, injured, suffering and homeless animals. The aid we provide includes general advice, sign-posting to care providers, transportation, emergency care, fostering and re-homing.

MAA is a project built on a pool of community members willing to volunteer their time and services and we are entirely reliant on the compassion, kindness and commitment of like-minded people locally, nationally and internationally. MAA is able to support the good deeds and selfless work of many international organisations through fundraising and donations. We also rely on volunteers to notify us of problem areas, and injured animals and on a more positive note, people and charities doing humanitarian work in places unknown.

How you can help?

To continue with the aid we provide, we are continuously looking for people to join our cause.

As a community project, MAA needs volunteers able to respond to

• emergency call-outs;
• transportation to veterinary clinics and local organisations,
• foster homes,
• dog walkers,
• temporary homes for re-cooperation and recovery and professionals within the animal welfare arena.

Many, if not all, animals we aid are in need of

• medical assistance,
• re-cooperation and/or recovery (including food and shelter),

all of which involve monetary costs and are entirely dependent on donations of medical items, blankets, food and money.
