We’re Anastasia (Greek) and Richard (Dutch) and we are looking for two volunteers to help us build our dream house in Crete, Greece. We bought some land and we are now in the process of building our light straw clay house.

Note about the volunteer work and other expectations 📝
We could use some help with mixing the straw and clay as well as using the mixture to fill the walls. No previous knowledge, experience, or dexterity is required. The process is simple and fun (hopefully!). If you’re into natural building, it’s a great way to gain some more knowledge and skills.

What type of accommodation can you provide? 🏕
- Tent 🎪
You will be sleeping in a bell tent provided by us (or bring your own if you prefer) which is quite spacious and has a pallet bed with mattress. You will be using an outdoor composting toilet. You will be taking a shower in our off-grid tiny house where we’re currently living.

What are the available activities during your free time? 🚴🚣🦒
We are a bit out of reach of public transport so you need a car or scooter if you want to explore the area. There are plenty of beaches around and the area also offers beautiful walking routes; walking through picturesque villages, visiting gorges, rivers etc.

How to get to your site ✈ 🗺
We are located in Crete, Greece and the closest airport is Chania International Airport Ioannis Daskalogiannis. We’ll pick you up from the airport which is 45 minutes away by car.
